How to create a product or service with a price

In Payments › Products, click Create Product, add a name and description, and add a one-time or recurring price. The product is then available for invoices, estimates, payment links and order forms.

Updated on

Before you start

  • Your user needs permission to create and edit products in Payments.
  • To charge online, connect a payment provider (for example, Stripe) in Payments › Integrations.
  • If you want to apply tax to the product, create the tax rate first in Payments › Settings › Taxes.
Where to find it

Payments › Products › Create Product

Step by step

  1. In the left menu, open Payments and click the Products tab.
  2. Click Create Product.
  3. Enter the product or service name and a description (this is what the customer sees).
  4. Add one or more images. They show automatically on payment links.
  5. In the Pricing section, add a price and choose the type:
    • One-time: the customer pays once.
    • Recurring: the customer pays every period (for example, monthly).
  6. Enter the amount. For a recurring price, choose the frequency and, if needed, set up:
    • a setup fee (charged once at the start);
    • a trial period;
    • the number of payments, if billing should end.
  7. (Optional) Check Attach Tax Rates and choose the tax rate that applies to this product.
  8. (Optional) Check Add Margin and enter the cost price to track profit. Customers never see this value.
  9. Click Save.

Import many products at once

  1. In Payments › Products, click Import as CSV.
  2. Download the sample file shown in the pop-up.
  3. Fill in one row per product without deleting or renaming any columns (leave fields that don't apply blank, such as weight or inventory for services).
  4. Save the file as .csv, upload it, review the preview and click Import Products.

Tips

  • A product can have several prices (for example, monthly and yearly) or variants (for example, sizes). Each one is chosen at the point of sale.
  • When you add the product to an invoice, you can still change the price and quantity for that invoice only.

Common problems

  • There's no delete button on the product → Products created by Calendars or Memberships can't be deleted, and neither can products with active or past-due subscriptions. Cancel those subscriptions first.
  • I deleted the product but it's still in Stripe → Deleting in Elooo CRM doesn't delete it in Stripe. Log in to your Stripe dashboard and archive it there too.
  • The import shows a "column is not correct" error → Start again from the sample file and keep every column and header exactly as they are. The file can't be larger than 10 MB.
  • I want to update existing products with a CSV → The import only creates new products. Edit existing ones individually in Products.

Frequently asked questions

Does deleting a product remove past sales?

No. Existing invoices, orders and subscriptions stay as they are. The product just can't be sold anymore. Deletion can't be undone.
