How to register your A2P brand to text US numbers (what to fill in to get approved)
Go to Settings › Phone System › Trust Center › A2P Messaging (SMS) › Start Registration, pick the brand type (Standard if you have a tax ID; Sole Proprietor if not) and enter the legal name, registration number, address and representative exactly as they appear on official records.

Before you start
- You only need this registration if you send SMS or MMS to US numbers from a 10-digit US local number.
- Decide on the brand type:
- Standard brand: you have an EIN (US), VAT number (Europe), BN (Canada), ABN (Australia) or another official registration number. Allows more numbers and higher message volume.
- Sole Proprietor: no business tax ID and you work alone. Limited to 1 number per campaign and lower volume. If you have a tax ID, you can't use this option.
- Have the official document with your legal name and registration number handy (in the US, the IRS CP-575 or 147C letter; in Europe, the VAT number as shown in the VIES lookup).
- Have the business's official registered address (not a branch, no PO box) and a business-domain email (e.g. info@yourcompany.com). For Sole Proprietor, a public email (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo) and a US or Canadian mobile number that can receive SMS are required.
- An EIN issued less than 15 days ago may be rejected because it hasn't propagated to the verification databases yet.

Step by step
Get started
- Open Settings › Phone System and click Trust Center.
- On the A2P Messaging (SMS) card, click Start Registration.
- Under Get Started, select where the business is registered and answer whether it has a tax ID. That answer sets the path (standard or sole proprietor).
Business details (standard brand)
- If you have the IRS CP-575 letter, upload it: the legal name, EIN and address are filled in automatically, which avoids typos.
- Otherwise, fill in: legal business name (exactly as on the tax document, no abbreviations or trade names), business type, industry, registration ID type and number, business email and region of operations.
- In the US, use the EIN, never a DUNS number. In Canada, only the first 9 digits of the BN. In Europe, the numeric part of the VAT number. Elsewhere, the VAT ID or the main registration/tax ID.
- Public companies: the ticker symbol and exchange must match public sources. Nonprofits: the EIN must appear in the tax-exempt organizations list.
Sole proprietor details
- Enter the individual's or unregistered business's name (no "LLC", "Inc." or similar), the industry and the mobile number.
- The mobile number must be US or Canadian and able to receive the verification code; VoIP numbers and CRM numbers aren't accepted. One number can be used for at most 3 registrations.
Address, representative and verification
- Enter the registered address: country, state/region, street (no PO box), city and ZIP code.
- Add the authorized representative: first and last name, email, phone, job position and title. It should be someone at the business who can be reached, and the phone and email should match official records. Don't reuse the same email or phone across more than 5 brands.
- Complete the verification requested: identity verification (once per account) or email OTP. For the OTP, open the representative's inbox, copy the code and enter it (3 attempts and 2 resends; after that, start over).
- Click continue to Campaign Details. An approved brand doesn't send anything on its own: texts only go out once the campaign is approved (see the related article).
Tips
- Before submitting, compare letter by letter: legal name, registration number and address against the official document. Small mismatches delay or reject the brand.
- Once approved, you can't edit the brand yourself; to correct details, contact Elooo CRM support.
- Businesses outside the US and Canada may go through extra vetting; it's normal for it to take longer.
Common problems
- Rejected because the legal name doesn't match → You used a trade name, an abbreviation or the name from a different form. Copy the name exactly from the CP-575/147C letter (US) or your country's tax registration and resubmit.
- Rejected for an invalid registration number → Check the EIN/tax ID on the official document; in the US never use DUNS; in Canada only the 9-digit BN. If the number is new (under 15 days), wait or send support the federal document for manual verification.
- Rejected because the address doesn't match → Use the official registered address, not a store or branch address.
- I registered as a sole proprietor and got rejected → Your business has a tax ID; you must register as a standard brand.
- I'm not getting the email code → Check the representative's email address, look in spam and use resend. After 3 failed attempts, restart the verification.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a Gmail address for a standard brand?
It's accepted, but a business-domain email speeds up approval. For sole proprietor registration it's the opposite: only public email domains are accepted.
How long does approval take?
It depends on the brand type and whether extra verification is needed. Standard brands can take several business days; sole proprietor is usually faster.
Once the brand is approved, can I text right away?
No. You still need to register the campaign, which describes what you send and how you collect consent, and have it approved.
