How to change your WhatsApp business profile photo and details
In Settings › WhatsApp, click Manage on the number and open Profile. There you can change the photo, description, address, email, and website customers see when they tap your business name in WhatsApp.
Updated on
Before you start
- The number must be connected to Elooo CRM as a new number. If you connected the WhatsApp Business app you already used on your phone, the profile is managed in the app, not in the CRM.
- For the photo, prepare a square 640×640 pixel image, JPG or PNG, no larger than 5 MB. Images smaller than 192 pixels on a side may not display well.
Where to find it
Settings › WhatsApp › Manage › Profile
Step by step
- Open Settings › WhatsApp.
- On the number you want to change, click Manage.
- Click Profile.
- To change the photo, click the profile picture, then Upload, and choose your logo or business image. The photo saves as soon as it finishes uploading.
- Fill in or correct the Address so customers know where to find you.
- Fill in your contact Email.
- Fill in your business Website.
- Write a Description: a short sentence about what your business does.
- Click Save. Changes go live on WhatsApp right away.
- To check, open a chat with your number from another phone and tap the business name.
Tips
- If you have several numbers, each one has its own profile: repeat these steps for each number.
- You don't need to change anything in Meta: what you update here is sent straight to your WhatsApp Business account.
- Review your profile now and then: outdated hours, address, or website make customers trust you less.
Common problems
- The photo got cropped → WhatsApp always crops profile pictures to a square. Use a square 640×640 pixel image with your logo centered.
- I can't find the Profile option → If the number was connected from the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, change the profile in the app itself.
- The image won't upload → Make sure it's JPG or PNG and under 5 MB.
- Customers still see the old details → Make sure you clicked Save. Ask the customer to close and reopen the chat.
