How to import many products at once from a CSV file

Go to Payments › Products, click Import as CSV, download the sample file, fill in one row per product (name, price, SKU, description, category) without deleting any columns, upload the file, check the preview and click Import Products.

Updated on

Before you start

  • You need access to Payments › Products.
  • Have your product data in a spreadsheet (Excel, Google Sheets or similar).
  • The final file must be in .csv format and no larger than 10 MB.
  • The import only creates new products: it does not update existing ones.
Where to find it

Payments › Products › Import as CSV

Step by step

Prepare the file

  1. In the left menu, open Payments and click Products.
  2. Click Import as CSV.
  3. At the bottom of the window, download the sample CSV file.
  4. Open the sample in your spreadsheet and fill in one row per product: name, price, SKU, description, category and any other fields that apply.
  5. If you sell services, leave fields that don't apply (weight, inventory, image) blank, but don't delete the columns or rename the headers.
  6. Check for duplicate SKUs and special characters that could break the file.
  7. Save the file in .csv format.

Import

  1. Go back to Payments › Products and click Import as CSV.
  2. Pick the prepared file from your computer.
  3. Review the preview: if something is off, fix it in the file and upload again.
  4. Click Import Products.
  5. The products are now in your Products list, ready for invoices, payment links, forms and your store.

Tips

  • Always start from the sample file: the column order and names must match the sample exactly.
  • Import a small file first (2 or 3 products) to validate the format, then the full list.
  • For products that already exist, make changes directly on the product record.

Common problems

  • Error "Column 1 is not correct" → You deleted or renamed a column from the sample. Download the sample again and keep every header, even if empty.
  • Missing required fields error → Make sure every row has at least a name, SKU and price.
  • The file isn't accepted → Check it's saved as .csv (not .xlsx) and under 10 MB.
  • Some products came in with odd text → Remove special characters and symbols from the file and re-import just those products.
  • Products got duplicated → The import always creates new products. Delete the duplicates in the Products list.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import my products from Shopify?

Yes, as long as you export the data and move it into the sample file's format.

Does the import overwrite existing product data?
