Updated on
Before you start
- The page must already exist in your funnel or website.
- Each page has its own title and description. Repeat these steps for every important page.
- Google decides when to re-read your page: changes can take from a few hours to a few days to show in search.
Where to find it
Sites › Funnels or Websites › (open it) › Edit › SEO Meta Data
Step by step
Title, description and image
- Open Sites and choose Funnels or Websites.
- Open the funnel or website and click Edit on the page you want to optimize.
- In the builder, click SEO Meta Data (in the top bar or the page settings).
- In Title, write a clear title with your service and location (e.g. "Dental implants in Austin | Smile Clinic").
- In Description, write one or two sentences that make people want to click.
- Add keywords and the author if you like.
- Choose the image that shows when the link is shared (WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Click Update SEO Meta.
- Save and publish the page.
Custom meta tags (optional)
- In SEO Meta Data, open Links and Tags.
- Next to Custom Meta Tags, click + Add.
- Enter the tag name and content. Example to hide the page from Google: name
robots, contentnoindex. - Click Add, then Update SEO Meta.
- Save and publish the page.
Tips
- Use a different title and description on each page. Pages with identical text compete with each other.
- To keep a page out of Google (e.g. a thank-you page), use the
robotstag withnoindex. Don't use it on pages you want in search results. - For blog posts, the SEO title and description are filled in on the post itself when you publish it.
Common problems
- Google still shows the old title → Google hasn't re-read the page yet. In Google Search Console, use URL Inspection and request indexing.
- The wrong image or text shows when I share the link → Check the image and description in SEO Meta Data, click Update SEO Meta and publish. Social networks and WhatsApp may keep the old preview for a while.
- My page disappeared from Google → Check whether it has a
robotstag withnoindexunder Custom Meta Tags and remove it if the page should show. - Google shows the same page under two addresses → Use a unique path for each page and, if needed, add a canonical tag with your preferred address in the custom meta tags.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add several custom meta tags?
Yes. Add as many as you need, one at a time.
Can Elooo CRM force Google to show my page?
No. You can set up the title, description, paths and tags, but Google decides when to crawl and show the page.
