How to create and customize a dashboard

In Dashboard, open the menu with the current dashboard's name, click Add Dashboard, name it, choose who can see it and confirm. Then use the pencil icon to rename it, add widgets and save your changes.

Before you start

  • You need permission to view and edit dashboards. If you don't see the buttons below, ask your account admin.
  • Only the person who created a dashboard (or someone with full access to it) can edit it.
  • Decide what the dashboard is for (sales, appointments, marketing…) before picking widgets.
Where to find it

Dashboard › menu with the dashboard name › Add Dashboard

Step by step

Create the dashboard

  1. In the left menu, click Dashboard.
  2. In the top-left corner, click the menu showing the name of the open dashboard. Your list of dashboards opens.
  3. Click + Add Dashboard. If asked, choose to start with a blank dashboard.
  4. Type a name in the Dashboard Name field (for example, "Monthly sales").
  5. Choose who can see it:
    • Turn on Private Dashboard so only you can see it.
    • Leave it off to share it with your team, and pick an access level for each user type: full, edit, view only or no access.
  6. Click Confirm. Your new dashboard opens empty.

Add your first widgets

  1. On an empty dashboard you'll see widget suggestions. Pick one or more under What is your goal? or Top used widgets, then click Confirm & Add.
  2. To pick everything yourself, click + Add a widget manually and follow the article on adding widgets.
  3. When you're done, click Save Changes at the top of the dashboard.

Edit an existing dashboard

  1. Open the dashboard in Dashboard.
  2. Click the pencil icon in the top-right corner to enter edit mode.
  3. Change the name if you like, and use Add Widget to add new widgets.
  4. Drag widgets to rearrange them and pull a widget's corner to resize it.
  5. Click Save Changes to apply your edits and leave edit mode.

Tips

  • Create one dashboard per team or goal (sales, marketing, finance) instead of putting everything in one place.
  • You can set a dashboard as the default so it's the first one that opens in Dashboard.
  • Use the date picker at the top of the dashboard to see numbers for a different period.

Common problems

  • I don't see the Add Dashboard button → Make sure you're in view mode (not edit mode) and open the menu with the dashboard name. If it's still missing, your user doesn't have permission: ask your account admin.
  • I can't edit a dashboard → Only the creator or someone with full access can edit it. Ask the dashboard owner to give you edit access.
  • A teammate can't see the dashboard I created → The dashboard is private or their access level is set to "no access". Edit the dashboard, turn off Private Dashboard or change their access level, and save.
  • My changes disappeared → You left edit mode without clicking Save Changes. Make the changes again and save.
