How to generate and edit images with Ask AI for social media, emails and pages

Click Ask AI in the top bar, describe the image you want (and, if needed, the aspect ratio or the social network) and send. To change it, type the edit instruction below the generated image. Click the save icon to send it to Media Storage, or Copy.

Before you start

  • You need access to the AI features in your account.
  • Think about where the image will go: a post, a story, an email banner, a page header. That decides the right aspect ratio.

Step by step

Generate the image

  1. Click Ask AI in the top-right corner.
  2. Type your request, for example: "Create an image of a modern, bright dental clinic, photographic style".
  3. If you need a specific format, say so in the prompt: "in a 9:16 aspect ratio" or "for an Instagram Story". Without it, the AI picks a format that fits the use you described.
  4. Send (Enter or the arrow) and wait a few seconds.

Edit the image

  1. Click the text field below the generated image.
  2. Type the change, for example: "Make the background light blue" or "Add a more visible smile".
  3. Send and wait for the new version. Repeat as often as you like; edits always apply to the image you started from in that conversation.

Save or copy

  1. Click the save icon to send the image to Media Storage, where you can use it in posts, emails and pages.
  2. Or click Copy to paste it somewhere else.
  3. Unsaved images stay only in that Ask AI conversation.

Edit a post's image with AI

  1. In Marketing › Social Planner, create or open a post with an AI-generated image.
  2. Click Edit with Ask AI.
  3. Type the change and send; the post gets the updated image.

Tips

  • Useful ratios: 1:1 for posts and profiles, 4:5 for the Instagram feed, 9:16 for Stories, Reels and TikTok, 16:9 for thumbnails and banners, 21:9 for wide headers.
  • State the style in the prompt ("realistic", "illustration", "3D", "cartoon") and what you don't want ("no text in the image").
  • You can attach an image and ask the AI to describe or analyze it.

Common problems

  • The image came out in the wrong format → State the ratio in the prompt ("in 4:5") or the use ("for the Instagram feed") and generate again.
  • I lost the image I generated → It wasn't saved. Go back to the same Ask AI conversation; if it's gone, generate another and save it right away.
  • The edit changed things I didn't ask for → Be specific ("change only the background color, keep the rest") and ask for one change at a time.
  • The text inside the image came out wrong → Ask for the image without text and add the text later in the post or page editor.

Frequently asked questions

Do edits made in Ask AI show up in the Content AI history?

No. They stay only in the Ask AI conversation history.

Do I need design skills?

No. Just describe your idea clearly.
